JOEL SCHNEIDER
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach


Joel is entering his second season with the Oilers as the club’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Joel works closely with Strength and Conditioning  Coach Chad Drummond, assisting with the development and implementation of all day-to-day aspects of the team’s off-ice conditioning.  

Prior to joining the Oilers, Joel was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Western Hockey League’s Edmonton Oil Kings, helping them capture the WHL League Championship in 2012, and eventually winning the Memorial Cup in 2014.

Joel, who was born in Burns Lake, BC, moved to Edmonton in 2004 to pursue his post-secondary education. It was Joel’s passion for the game of hockey which led him to work as a personal trainer/strength and conditioning coach for eight years at Body by Bennett and for the last three years he has served as the Director of Hockey Operations for Body by Bennett.
